Here is some tips for blood removal:
Fabric
1. If the stain is fresh, soak in cold water or use an eye dropper to apply hydrogen peroxide directly to the stain. For dried stains, brush the stain well to remove the surface deposit, then pretreat or soak in cool water with a laundry product containing enzymes.
2. Launder.
3. If the stain remains, rewash using the type of bleach that's safe for the fabric.

Upholstery
1. Mix one tablespoon of liquid hand dishwashing detergent with two cups of cold water. If the stain has dried, brush it well to remove the surface deposit.
2. Using a clean white cloth, sponge the stain with the detergent solution.
3. Blot until the liquid is absorbed.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until the stain disappears.
5. Sponge with cold water and blot dry.

Carpet
1. Mix one tablespoon of liquid hand dishwashing detergent with two cups of cold water. If the stain has dried, brush it well to remove the surface deposit.
2. Using a clean white cloth, sponge the stain with the detergent solution.
3. Blot until the liquid is absorbed.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until the stain disappears or is no longer absorbed into the cloth.
5. If the stain remains, mix one tablespoon of ammonia (Caution: Never mix chlorine bleach and ammonia - the resulting fumes are hazardous) with 1/2 cup of warm water.
6. Sponge the stain with the ammonia solution.
7. Blot until the liquid is absorbed.
8. Sponge with cold water and blot dry.

Disappearing Blood Stains
If you prick your finger while sewing and get blood stains on your project, immediately moisten an unbloodied finger with a bit of your own saliva and apply it to the stain. Watch it disappear!

Jess, try some frozen dinners like Swanson. Also, if he likes home cooking then get a Crock Pot and you can make stews for him. Look up some ideas on the internet. Also, wear gloves when handling RAW meat...not soooo icky! hope this helps

if you cant cook than maybe you could order take out. That doesn't involve cooking and it can be delivered to the house. Or those companies that send groceries to elderly peoples homes, im sure you can get them to send you the groceries that way you dont have to go to the piggly wiggly...talk about feeling out of place. hope this helps!

Honey in Australia many of us cant cook. A home is more about finding what you love, photo's anything and making it how you love. And having fun........... things to spoil you both. (got that sis, i know you will read this) My place is a cosy mess of photos /books and hand crafted wood furniture (bought of course ppff like i have skills) and people love my place, OH and indoor plants are great for a nice look.
Love your house and others will too

Jessica, don't worry - I'm no Martha Stewart either but there's lots of books around if you want to learn that stuff. Making a home is making sure it's filled with love and that you do just fine. Now go have a good time,, Baby Vamp.

Jessica,

I have to say that you are my favorite vampire on the show. I would love to get to know you more. As for tips on cooking and cleaning, I know its frustrating sometimes to try cooking something and it doesnt turn out the way you wanted it. Practice makes perfect and your on the right track. Dont worry Jessica, your going to win this race.
Wishing You and Hoyt the Best,
Hannah
